Browallia americana was named by Linnaeus after John Browall, one of his contemporaries. It is an excellent container plant.

Blooming Habits:
The Browallia bears white to blue or violet flowers, 2 inches in diameter (5 cm).

Culture:
Regular feeding of the Bush Violet will ensure a steady flowering and a green foliage. It does better in dry summer areas.

Propagation:
Sow the seeds in light at 65-75ºF (17-23ºC), they will germinate in one to two weeks.
