Origin: Circumpolar

Growth Habits: Perennial, 0.32 to 2.4 inches tall (0.8 to 6 cm.), pinnate leaves

Flowers: White, yellow or pink flowers, up to 0.8 inches long (2 cm.), up to 0.4 inches wide (10 mm.)

Four subspecies are generally accepted:

  • andersonii Hultén -- Anderson's Rockjasmine
  • chamaejasme Hultén -- Sweetflower Rockjasmine
  • carinata (Torr.) Hultén -- Sweetflower Rockjasmine
  • lehmanniana (Spreng.) Hultén -- Lehmann's rockjasmine
