Growth Habits: Evergreen tree 20 to 40 feet high (6-12 m), up to 25 feet spread (7.5 m); coarse grey bark; glossy green undulated leaves, finely toothed, 2.4 to 6 inches long (6-15 cm)

Watering Needs: Moderate water

Propagation: Seeds (no treatment needed), cuttings

Very invasive in tropical countries. Considered a noxious weed in Hawaii.

Blooming Habits:
Small, creamy white, pleasantly fragrant flowers, in terminal clusters in spring and early summer.

Fruiting Habits:
Brownish-orange capsules, 0.4 inch in diameter (1 cm) in autumn, containing 20 to 40 sticky orange seeds.
