Blooming Habits:
This tree is dioecious, The male trees drop a limited amount of flower litter in late winter, while the female trees after some inconspicuous blossoms in late winter, developed their 1-winged fruits (samaras) in late spring. The samaras are 0.8 to 1.6 inches (2-4 cm)
Culture:
The Shamel Ash becomes a very large tree. It is shallow rooted, and its surface roots may be disruptive. It is very well adapted to Phoenix climate and if you have irrigation, and a back yard large enough, it is probably one of the best trees you can grow.
