Growth Habits: Evergreen shrub, up to 6 feet tall (1.8 m), 4 feet wide (1.2 m); leathery, linear, glossy green, strongly aromatic leaves, 0.5 to 1 inch long (12-25 mm), 0.1 inch wide (2.5 mm) with gray underside

Watering Needs: Little to moderate water when established

Propagation: Cuttings (will often root in water)

The rosemary is used abundantly in Italian cooking. Its flavor complements well pork and ham. Tea, made with its leaves, is supposed to improve the digestion.
Cultivars:

• 'Prostratus': a trailing variety, up to 2 feet tall (60 cm), 4 to 8 feet spread (1.2-2.4 m)
• 'Tuscan Blue' also called 'Lockwood de Forest' a tall, upright form, with darker blue flowers.

Blooming Habits:
The Rosemary bears masses of light blue flowers in late winter and spring, occasionally in autumn.

Culture:
Need pruning to stay compact, but the old wood will not emit new buds. For this reason, it should be trimmed regularly.
