Blooming Habits:
Loropetalums have white, yellow, pink or red flowers, similar looking to its relative the witchhazel The flowers come mostly in spring. The variety 'rubrum' of doubtful botanical standing has purplish foliage and pink or red flowers. It is one of the sources of all the cultivars with pink or red flowers. The type has green leaves and white or yellow flowers.

Fruiting Habits:
The fruit is a woody capsule.

Culture:
Needs well drained, acid soil
