Growth Habits: Shrub or small tree, up to 10 feet tall and wide (3 m); weeping branches covered with tiny hairs; grayish-green, hairy, ovate-elliptical phyllodes (leafy-looking modified leaf petioles), 0.4 to 0.8 inch long (1.2 cm) 0.2 to 0.4 inch wide (5-10 mm), giving an impression of a downy foliage

Watering Needs: Litle to moderate water, good drainage

Propagation: Seeds that need scarification or boiling water treatment to remove the ouside water-proof coating

The species epithet 'vestita' comes from the Latin for 'clothed', referring to the hairy coating of the phyllodes and branchlets.

Blooming Habits:
Free flowering, the bright yellow flowers are borne in dense balls, 0.12 inch in diameter (3 mm), in late winter and spring.

Culture:
Prune after the shrub finished flowering. Pruning should take in account that older branches do not have dormant buds, so any branch left needs to have young growing areas, or should be removed completely.
