In desert climates, the acacia pendula is a good substitute for the water loving weeping willow. Its wood smells like violets.

Blooming Habits:
Yellow 0.25 inches wide (0.6 cm) puffballs in summer and autumn.

Culture:
The weeping myall prefers a slightly fertile well drained soil.

Propagation:
Dip seeds in very hot water and let them stand overnight before sowing. Alternatively, the seeds scarify the seeds by rubbing them against sand paper to remove the waterproof coat.
