Blooming Habits:
Pink-tinged white flowers, 0.25 to 0.5 inch long (6-12 mm) in summer, followed by edible fruit, scarlet berrylike capsules with a large fleshy calyx, that persist through the winter. Leaves and fruit have a mild wintergreen flavor.
