Growth Habits: Winter deciduous caudiciform vine, fast growing to 15 feet tall (4.5 m), caudex 12 inches in diameter (30 cm) or more.
Watering Needs: No to very little water when dormant
Related to Dioscorea paniculata and D. elephantipes, makes also a large woody caudiciform root.
