Growth Habits: Clumping, pale green flattened heads, 2.5 inches in diameter (6 cm), 1.4 inches tall (3.5 cm); tubercles in 16 to 20 rows; 0 or 1 central spine, 0.1 inch long (2.5 mm), 20-30 whitish very small radials.

Blooming Habits:
The red to orange flowers can reach 2 inches in diameter (5 cm). They are borne freely at the base of the stems and last several days.
