Origin: Mexico (Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí)
Growth Habits: Solitary columnar cactus, up to 40 feet tall (12 m); 10-30 narrow, acute, ribs; small areoles, 0.4 inch apart with yellowish felt; 1 central spine; 7 or 8 yellowish radials, 0.4 to 0.8 inch long (1 to 2 cm)
