Origin: Mexico (Sonora: San Pedro Nolasco Island)

Growth Habits: Solitary or slowly branching, globose to short cylindrical stem, up to 10 inches tall (25 cm), 4 to 4.4 inches in diameter (10-11 cm); milky sap; tubercles 0.2 inch tall (5 mm); areoles with 1 bristle and wool in the blooming area; 2 to 5 central spines; 12 radials, 0.36 inch long (9 mm).

Blooming Habits:
Cherry colored flowers, up to 0.6 inch in diameter (1.5 cm). The fruits are red, club-shaped, 0.4 to 0.6 inch long (10-15 mm)
