Origin: Mexico (northwestern Sonora: Nacozari) in just a couple of localities

Growth Habits: Solitary or slowly clumping, 0.4 to 1.2 inch in diameter and height (1-3 cm); axils bare; no central spine; 34 to 45 curved white radials with a yellow base, about 0.1 inch long (2-3 mm).

Propagation: Offsets, seeds


Blooming Habits:
Large pink flower, 1.5 inches in diameter (3.5 cm) in May. The fruits mature inside the plant.
