Origin: Southern Arizona (Cochise County), Mexico (Sonora)
Growth Habits: Solitary or with a few stems, 4 to 12 inches tall (10-30 cm); 2.5 to 4 inches in diameter (6.2 to 10 cm); 15 to 22 ribs; areoles 0.25 inch apart (6 mm); 0 to 9 central spines in 3 lines, up to 0.3 inch long (7.5 mm); 12 to 22 (to 30) pectinate radials, 0.2 to 0.6 inch long (5-15 mm)
Blooming Habits:
Pink flowers, 2.5 to 5 inches long and in diameter (6.2-12.5 cm). Mostly globose fruit slightly elongated, 0.8 to 2.5 inches long (2-6.2 cm).
