Synonym: Echinocereus ortegae ssp. koehresianus , Echinocereus scheeri var. koehresianus
Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Mexico (Sinaloa, Durango)

Growth Habits: Densely clumping, dark green stems, 4 to 16 inches tall (10-40 cm), 1 to 2.5 inches in diameter (2.5 to 4 cm); 7 to 16 low ribs; small areoles 0.1 inch apart (2-3 mm); young spines yellowish turning whitish rapidly; 3 to 4 (to 6) centrals; 10 radials or more


Blooming Habits:
Funnelform red flowers on the sides of the stems, 2.4 to 4 inches long (6-10 cm), 9 green stigmas.
