Scientific Name: Discocactus bahiensis Britton & Rose
Synonym: Echinocactus bahiensis
Family: Cactaceae

Heat Tolerance: Rot prone, water with care.

Origin: Brazil (Bahia)

Growth Habits: Solitary globose stem, 2.4 to 3.2 inches in diameter (6-8 cm); up to 10 ribs, somewhat obscured by the spines; 7 to 9 spines, 0.6 to 1.2 inches long (1.5-3 cm).


Blooming Habits:
Cephalium made of white wool and short bristles. Yellowish white nocturnal flowers in summer, 1.6 to 2 inches long (4-5 cm). Naked fruit
