Scientific Name: Cleistocactus chotaensis F.A.C.Weber
Synonym: Cereus chotaensis, Loxanthocereus trujilloensis, Seticereus chotaensis
Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Peru (La Libertad: Rio Chota), possibly extinct

Growth Habits: Sprawling, up to 6 feet tall (2 m); grayish stems, up to 1.8 inches in diameter (4.5 cm); 11 to 13 ribs; 3 to 8 central spines; 8 to 12 radials


Blooming Habits:
Orange flowers 2 inches (5 cm) in length, 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter
