Origin: Brazil (Mato Grosso)
Growth Habits: Tree-like, up to 20 feet tall (6 m); grayish stems, up to 2.6 inches in diameter (13 cm); 8 or 9 wavy stems; areoles with white wool; 1 central spine, up to 1 inch long (2.5 cm); 5 to 7 radial spines, up to 0.5 inches long (1.2 cm)
Blooming Habits:
White nocturnal flowers, up to 3.2 inches long (8 cm), 1.6 inches in diameter (4 cm), followed by pinkish fruits, 2 inches long (5 cm), 1.2 inches in diameter (3 cm)
