Origin: Bolivia, Brazil (Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul), Paraguay

Growth Habits: Shrubby, partially sprawling glaucous stems, 3 to 13 feet long (1 to 4 m), 1 inch in diameter (2.5 cm); 4 or 5 tuberculated ribs; hairy areoles; 1 central spine, 0.8 to 1.2 inches long (2-3 cm); 5 radials, 0.6 inch long (1.5 cm)


Blooming Habits:
White nocturnal flowers; petals have pinkish tips, up to 4 inches long (10 cm); ovoid red fruits 1.5 inches long (3.7 cm)
