Growth Habits: Large cactus, limited branching, generally basal, stems up to 12 feet tall (3.6 m), 6 inches in diameter (15 cm); 22-25 ribs; 1-4 central spines; 9-12 radials


Blooming Habits:
A very visible feature of this species are the apical pseudocephalia forming rings around the stems as the stem keeps growing. The Cephalocereus apicicephalium has pink, nocturnal, bell shaped flowers, 2.4 inches long (6 cm), 1.2 inches in diameter.
