Growth Habits: Shrubby cactus, masses of golden stems, each up to 2 feet long (60 cm), 1.2 to 2.4 inches in diameter (3-6 cm), 20 to 25 ribs sometimes tuberculate, 20-30 spines, 0.4 to 1.6 inches long (1 to 4 cm)
Watering Needs: The area of Baja California from where the Bergerocactus comes has wet winters, but very little water in summer.
Blooming Habits:
Yellow diurnal flowers 2.4 inches in diameter (6 cm); globose fruit, 1.2-2.4 inches long (3-6 cm), dry when mature.
