Stem: Up to 3.6 inches wide (9 cm.)

Ribs: 3 ribs

Central spines: 1 to 2, 1.6 to 2.2 inches long (4 to 5.5 cm.), very stout

Radial spines: 5 to 8, up to 0.2 inches long (5 mm.), very short

White flower, 10 inches long
