Stem: Up to 4.8 inches wide (12 cm.), globular or cylindrical, usually unbranched, green or greyish-green

Ribs: Up to 18 rounded ribs, enlarged at areoles

Areoles: Oval, whitish

Central spines: 1 to 4, up to 0.6 inches long (15 mm.)

Radial spines: 9, up to 0.8 inches long (2 cm.)

Watering Needs: Little to no water in winter


Blooming Habits:
Yellow or orange flowers, up to 2 inches in diameter (5 cm)
