Growth Habits: Deciduous tree, 50 to 100 feet tall (15 to 30 m.), 25 to 50 feet in spread (7.5 to 15 m.), green leaves, up to 4 inches long (10 cm.)

Watering Needs: Abundant water

Propagation: Seed or occasionally cutting, grafting/budding

  • by softwood stem tip cuttings, in early summer. Apply IBA TALC 8000 PPM. Use intermittent mist.
  • by cleft grafts, in summer.
  • by seeds, in spring. Germinates at 70-85 degrees F. The seeds can be harvested in late summer. The seeds need 40F for 2mo.. The usual germination temperature is 70-85 degrees F.
