Origin: South Africa (Northern Province: Soutpansberg, Blouberg)

Growth Habits: Succulent rosette at the top of a single naked stem, up to 12 feet tall (3.6 m)

Propagation: Seeds, offsets

Blooming Habits:
The Aloe angelica blooms in early winter. The red buds become pale yellow as the flowers open, giving a bicolor floral structure. The flower picture was taken at the HBG in late December (HBG 42486), with the flowers barely starting to open.
