Growth Habits: Vine, up to 6 feet tall (1.8 m.), up to 2 feet in spread (60 cm.)

Flowers: Greenish flowers

Watering Needs: Keep soil moist

Propagation: Cuttings will root in water, layering

All parts of the plant are poisonous

Culture:
The Nephthytis is an interesting shade plant in Phoenix. It gives a definite tropical look, and the big soft leaves are easy to weed if it ventures in an area it shouldn't. It can also be trained to climb tree, but my effort there have not been very successful, and I attribute it to the fact that in Phoenix, the air is too dry. Close to a moist soil the air is just moister than hanging on the side of a tree.

Propagation:
The stem will root whenever it touches the ground.
