This is the plant that produces the kiwi fruit of the commerce. The best varieties like Chico or Hayward have a chilling requirement. In Phoenix or southern California, try low chilling-requirements plants like 'Vincent' for the female plants and 'Tomuri' for the male plants (1 male can pollenize 8 females) .

Fruiting Habits:
Kiwis are dioecious, you need a male plant to fertilize your (hopefully) fruit bearing female plants.
