Leaf: Costapalmate, 50 leaves covered with a layer of wax. 100 or more leaflets, split at their end. The leaf stem continues inside the leaf for 2 to 5 inches. 5 feet wide (1.5 m). up to 5 feet long (1.5 m).
Trunk: Smooth, gray, petticoat of dead leaves and leaf bases at the top of the trunk, up to 5 feet in diameter (1.5 m).
Flower: Cream colored bisexual flowers. Flower stalk coming from among the leaves, 5 to 7 feet long.
Fruit: Brown when ripe. 0.75 to 1 inch long (2 to 2.5 cm). Round to oval.
Seed: Round, with some wrinkle.
