The Australian gulf of Carpentaria gave its name to this tree.
The Carpentaria Palms are self cleaning. They can use heavy fertilization and mulch for rapid growth. In good conditions, the carpentaria palm matures in 5 to 6 year. Because of its fast growth, the trunk can stay soft for a long time and care should be taken not to damage it.
The mature carpentaria can be transplanted relatively easily. The leaves should be tied to reduce evaporation and protect the bud.
