Leaf: Pinnate, Pinnate leaves are arranged in groups and arise from various places along the rachis giving a plumose effect. Narrow leaves, waxy green above and gray below, tough with sharp point. 40 inches long (1 m).
Trunk: Clustering underground stem. Totally trunkless.
Flower: Greenish yellow unisexual flowers. Both sexes can be found on the same inflorescence. Flower stalk coming from 20 inches long erect unbranched flower stalk carrying both male and female flowers.. male flowers have 6 to 18 stamens stamens.
Fruit: Yellowish orange. 1.2cm long. oval, edible fruit.
